April Poetry Book Madness!

 or

Anyone interested in joining a poetry-themed March Book Madness-style bracket? My students had so much fun with March Book Madness that they begged me today to organize a similar bracket-style voting for poetry books.

 or

We've started compiling our own lists of favorite children's poetry books but would love input from any other interested students, teachers, and poets! Please share your thoughts with the form below. Check back, as we hope to have the first official vote live on Wed. April 13th.

  1. Katie, what a fun idea! I have so many contemporary favorites, it would be impossible for me to list just a few. But I'm putting in my "classic" favorite, about 30 years old, I think. It's one of the books that inspired me to start writing poetry:>) I'm going to go share this. Hope you get some input for a great tournament!

  2. Well, I got caught up in my Goodreads shelves and ended up choosing 5 for each. Thanks for the poetic meanderings:>)

    2. Argh. I just looked at my schedule for the next two weeks. We might not be able to join you this year -- we have state tests T/W this week and T-F next week. Ugh.

    3. Yikes, that's an overload! Hope you can still pop by. Thought is that end of this week we'll vote for seeding and then each of the last two weeks will have two rounds of voting to pick a winner by the end of the month.
