5 Books I Recommend about Acceptance and Stuff

Who can pass up a best book list about acceptance ... and stuff?

5 Books I Recommend about Acceptance and Stuff

• Starfish is a wonderfully written novel in verse about a girl named Ellie who struggles with fat shaming. Throughout the book she learns to accept herself just the way she is. This book is amazing and would totally recommend. 

• A Season Most Unfair is about a girl named Tic, she learned the trade of candle making for her whole life, but replaced by a “proper” apprentice. She eventually comes to terms with this and finds a new trade that girl’s can learn. I loved this historical book about finding purpose no matter who you are. 

• The Other Boy is about a trans-masc boy named Shane, who struggles with telling his friends and baseball team about his past. And struggles with other’s opinions throughout the book, especially when his secret get leaked. Overall, I loved the book, topic, and little comics scattered through the book. 

• Sweep is a beautiful book about a girl named Nan. Nan was a climber raised by a kind sweep, but after his mysterious disappearance, she was bought by a cruel man named Mr. Crudd. Throughout the book, Nan will struggle with hiding her monster from the outside world. I loved the sad, yet happy ending. 

• Unstuck is a great book about a girl named Lyla, when she is assigned with writing a story for class she is very excited. She had been making a story in her head for years, but when it came to actually write it down, she feels stuck. Throughout the book, Lyla comes to peace with all the problems in her life and takes it one step at a time writing her story. I loved this book (and cover design) and all the helpful tips for anyone who needs to be unstuck.
