Both are stunning books (and very different!). I am glad to hear that you enjoyed them, too. I actually listened to All American Boys, so I enjoyed hearing the alternating voices.Ricki Ginsberg at Unleashing Readershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06086548238873957327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7722037294375418886.post-3391877614405835922016-05-16T19:28:51.968-05:002016-05-16T19:28:51.968-05:00I teach 6th through 8th, so if you would like to c...I teach 6th through 8th, so if you would like to chat, I'd be happy to. I loaned All American Boys to a colleague who is reading it aloud to his students, says it's bringing up great conversations. That way I got to read all of it, too. It's hard to make recommendations without knowing your students, but some favorites in my 7th grade classroom included the I Survived series, Gary Paulsen, Joan Bauer, Laurie Halse Anderson, Rick Riordan, Patterson, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Mike Lupica.Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08210045352610490115noreply@blogger.com
